Miranda Kerr’s Technique for Creating a Custom Cream Blush is Ingenious

Spring beauty trends often lean towards minimal, glowing, and fresh-faced looks. A clever way to achieve a soft, monochromatic appearance is by using your favorite lip product on both your lips and cheeks. Miranda Kerr shares her beauty hack by mixing her trusted lipstick with a touch of face oil to create a personalized cream blush.

In a video on Ilia’s Instagram, Kerr demonstrates her method using Ilia Color Block Lipstick in the shade Marsala. She places a small amount on the back of her hand and adds a drop of the Noni Glow Face Oil. By blending them together with a fingertip, she creates a delicate blush that can be applied to the cheeks.

The key product in Kerr’s custom cream blush is Ilia Color Block High Impact Lipstick, priced at $28. This lipstick boasts rich pigmentation and is enriched with skin-nourishing ingredients like apricot seed oil, castor seed oil, and mango seed butter, ensuring ample moisture. When mixed with a drop of the Noni Glow Face Oil from Kerr’s skincare line, Kora Organics, the formula is softened, offering a subtle color payoff and added hydration for a radiant, natural-looking flush. The Face Oil features nourishing noni extract, rosehip oil, and jojoba oil, which combine to hydrate, brighten, and improve skin texture.

To recreate Kerr’s dewy look, you can follow her exact method or experiment with your preferred lipstick and face oil. When selecting a lip color for this technique, consider unconventional shades since the added oil will create a sheerer, more moisturizing effect compared to the original lipstick. For a lighter coverage, use more than one drop of oil. If you prefer a more intense pigment, skip the oil and apply the lipstick directly to your cheeks.

Once you have achieved your desired cheek color, Kerr suggests applying a bit more lipstick to your lips. For a fully coordinated look, dab a small amount of the mixture on your eyelids and finish with a touch of mascara. In just a minute, you can complete your entire makeup routine and be ready for the day.
